No.4

Just placed my order to get my hands on the brand new issue of the Gentlewoman, issue no. 4. This British magazine was my main source of inspiration for all things design while I lived in London--fashion, architecture, graphics and GW only features the classiest and smartest modern ladies of our time. I am so giddy to recieve my beautiful copy that I will probably be dreaming about it for the meantime...

I just can't stop oogling over the works of Land_Land whose whimsical typography & illustrations I saw first hand this weekend at Bumbershoot and I actually left with 3 beautiful prints...

And why we're on the topic of album artwork, I am also loving what Alexandra Valenti has going on...

Another aspect of inspiration for me is the raw stones in Vamoose's gorgeous, au-naturale jewellry line! I have always admired her amazing visual blog but to see some of her newest pieces has me wanting to make a dash to the nearest bead store...

Last but not least, make sure to peep Jamie XX's newest mix he compiled on BBC the other week. The XX definitely is one of my favorite bands so when I listend to the Essential Mix I know I was about to have a treat in store for me...All of the songs in his 2 hour mix are spot on and will be on the repeat for me for the next couple of weeks without a doubt.

Brighter Mondays

Mondays I always wake up a little too late and a little too groggy in the morning to really cohesively concoct a sensible ensemble. However, this week I am incredibly inspired by the fashionable ladies above that aren't afraid to mix texture and color--2 things that I sometimes try to ignore at 6 am...However, I will be trying extra hard this week to wake up a little bit earlier and a little more coherent to really try and step out of my comfort zone.With this said, a very Happy Monday to wherever you may be!

As I enter an unsure phase of my life, it makes me excited for the endless possibilities my life might take me, my friend just sent me that quote and it was a great example of how I want to live my life. Into the Pink

Just like after my favorite decorator's (Dorothy Draper) book, I too am "into the pink" lately. Maybe its just hopes for some warm weather and bring back my spring closet. Nonetheless, I have been gravitating towards bright, saturated colors, especially 2011's pantone color. Hope these make for a cheery Tuesday!

Soul Sister

So glad the Coveteur is up and running again! I love the juxtaposition of garments against everyday items in one's home such as books, magazines, furniture, etc. By doing this you truly get a feeling of one's style through all aspects of their lives.

I have to say Britt Aboutaleb is definitely a girl after my own taste. A bit of stripes, some chunky necklaces and she even reads my favorite British mag, The Gentlewomen. Which reminds me I want to order issue No. 3!
