Paris Please

I have always loved the FVF site but now that they're expanding into other European countries,(ie: the UK & France) I couldn't be more excited because that simply means more beautiful spaces for me to creep! 


Freunde Von Freunden does a delightful way of showcasing young professionals in their most natural of habitats--their own homes. My new favorite showcase is this darling, the mademoiselle herself, Julia Faure of Mademoiselle Communications...

Big City Day Dreaming

I am craving a trip to NYC to go frolic in Central Park and stay in the Crosby Street Hotel.

But I am also still immensely missing the European lifestyle. How I'd love to go for a bike ride through the gardens of Versailles...

If anyone is in Paris or about to go--please do me a favor and visit Hotel Petit du Moulin. Designed by no other than, Christian Lacroix,-- this hotel is pure genius! Hotel Petit is the epitome of a boutique hotel, each room is entirely different than the other. I am absolutely obsessing over the unique and dramatic murals behind each headboard--you couldn't ask for a more memorable stay! Now only if I was a chunnel ride away...

Hermes Window Shopping

I just got back from Paris on Sunday where I met my family for the weekend and now I am taking them around my "hometown" of London this week. I am so happy having them here, it has been so nice seeing them and taking them around to my favorite areas as well as doing the typical "touristy" things.

I thought I would share really quickly my highlight of Paris which was in fact a brand new exhibit, The Orient Hermes. Usually when I think of Hermes I picture the signature bag or their colourful scarves, so I was intrigued to see what this exhibit was going to be about. It had that just opened at the beautifully modern Arab Institute only just a few weeks ago. The building itself is quite beautiful and incredibly modern, when I walked through parts of it are still under construction which goes to show how new it is to Paris. It's one of the few modern buildings I have seen off of the Seine River. (Each square is the height of one floor to put the building into perspective--it's quite large)

The exhibit is stunning collection of different themed Hermes window displays were full of bags, accessories, plates and even authentic saddles. Each window was a specific theme yet still carefully placed throughout the set. Each window of bags, accessories, plates that went along with the inspiring location of the collection.

The whole exhibition was not too large but such a fun and refreshing one to visit especially after seeing the Louvre and the Muse D'Orsay which is a tad overwhelming...Here are a few of the window displays courtesy of the Arab Institute.

While I was at I just googled Hermes window exhibits just to get a taste of some their previous windows--all of which I loved! Not to mention their beautiful place settings--timeless. It's safe to say I have a crush on everything about Hermes, but for now I'm going to have to just look from a distance :)

Family, Paris and Boutique Hotels

I can not believe my luck-after all of my spring break travels, I now get to meet up with my parents in PARIS!! I am so excited to see them finally after several months and be able to see Paris again in the spring and take them around London this following week :)

I have always been a big fan of boutique hotels and I actually stumbled across one on my flight to Paris in January in the Easyjet magazine as a matter-of-fact. I love how small and quaint they can be but full of so many fun personal touches and creative designs. We booked Hotel Taylor which is in an awesome location right by the Eiffel Tower and Champs De Elysées.

I am so excited to stay here, especially with the complimentary breakfast which I believe is going to be mostly croissants and baguettes--all I need in life! I am also excited to do a little research for my professional business class that I just started up and I am going to be looking into the Boutique Hotels and their business practices.

Some of my favorites are the Ace Hotels, Firmdale Hotels in London as well as the Morgan Hotels. All of which are so fun and quirky but would create such an up-beat and memorable stay :)
